Just a thought...

The question has been asked if man is inherently good or bad... I would like to think we, humankind, are inherently good but a couple things make me wonder... Example...why is it, when someone or something happens that we don't agree with, why is our first reaction is one of anger? After the initial shock has worn off, we rethink the anger and talk ourselves into thinking more positively but why wasn't the positive thoughts our initial reaction?
Why is it when there's an accident along the highway, why do we feel the need to see the scene? Are we drawn to pain and hurt or are we fascinated with death? Maybe..okay, you're going to have to really wrap your mind around this one, but maybe there's something inside of us that remembers "life" before birth. Okay, I won't go into that at this time but back to the original question..why do we feel the need to look at the accident along the highway?
Why is it that when a person has proven themselves to be great in their "occupation" and we, the fans, quickly place them on this pedestal, but as soon as they do just one thing that threatens their fall, we jump at the opportunity to see them fall, even help pull them down? Need a couple examples? .... Britney Spears, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, even Bill Clinton. Ok, well, maybe a couple of those did more than "just one thing" but do you get my point?
In the end, I would like to think that we are basically good beings, maybe a little confused sometimes but I guess it's comforting to know that usually, even if it's second nature, we most often settle on the positive...usually.

Gifts by Daydreams..."Tea basket"

Okay ya'll...I also have a very part time gift basket business and occasionally I'll post more pictures on this site.
This is a picture of a tea basket I created a couple months ago as a going away gift. It's not wrapped and decorated yet on this picture.
If you need a customized gift basket, email me, with "Gift Item Request" as your subject!

A "Why?" Question...

Why does it seems, as soon as we become interested in an idea or item, suddenly that idea or item is everywhere around us? Example, when I became interested in a particular car, all of a sudden, all I saw on the road was that particular make and model of car.
Or when I was interested in starting a home-based business, all I heard on the radio were speakers, speaking on starting a business.
Try it and see. Get interested in something in particular and then watch…you’ll start noticing things concerning that idea almost immediately…hmmmm. Is it really NOT all about me/us?

Who am I? Hmmm, I'll tell you...

I want to introduce myself...I'm a person who believes all things happen for a reason; that although we don't understand it, there's a purpose behind it all. I don't believe in coincidences and I don't believe "evil" dominates "good". Although I'm quite optimistic, I am a realist also. I think "what goes around, comes around" is a true thing...karma like a mug! You "reap what you sow", etc... I believe in personal accountability and accepting your part in a situation. I think the world is full of lonely people who don't know where they belong in the cosmic realm of things. That some will attach themselves to any group that offers a welcoming hand, be it a good group or not so good. I think children "these days" don't realize how fortunate they could be if they opened their "eyes" and used the resources to advance themselves, to gain the knowledge that's out there. I think some parents are failing their kids by not allowing them to earn the things they want...instead they're constantly working, not just to provide the "needs" or to make sure ends are met but to ensure little Magic has all the special clothing items, toys, etc... they could ever want. I don't think we pay attention to the small things that mean so much...like the details on a blade of grass, the sunset, or the horizon. Are you one who appreciates the unexpected breeze that blows? Do you rejoice in a perfect cloud? Do you realize that a smile can change a person's outlook for the whole day? Hmmm, I try to be... I try to notice the small things...not always successful, but I do try. Will you?
